Short answer

HighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on any plan. Its pricing page says billing begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel, and that usage-based fees may apply during the trial. HighLevel's real estate landing page says a credit card is required. This reflects what the pages said on 2026-10-31.

HighLevel’s official pricing page offers a 14-day free trial on any plan [1]. The page says billing begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel, and that usage-based fees may apply during the trial [1]. HighLevel’s real estate landing page adds that a credit card is required [4]. This guide sets out what the page says, what it leaves out, and how to cancel, as of 2026-10-31.

How we researched this

We read HighLevel’s pricing page, its real estate landing page and its billing help center on 2026-10-31. We have not signed up for a trial for this page, so we don’t describe the sign-up screens. Where a detail is not on a HighLevel page, we say we can’t confirm it.

How long is the trial?

14 days. The pricing page heading reads “Start with a FREE 14-day trial on any plan below!”, each plan card says “Experience it for 14 Days FREE”, and the FAQ answers “Is there a free trial?” with “Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial” [1].

You may see other lengths advertised elsewhere. We could not verify any longer trial on a HighLevel page. If a page promises more than 14 days, ask where the promise is written in HighLevel’s own terms before you rely on it. We do not offer any extension, bonus or discount on the trial.

What is included?

The FAQ says you get “full access to the features of your chosen tier so you can set up your account, build funnels, and test automations before you pay a dime” [1]. The three trial cards on the page are:

Plan Price after the trial Sub-accounts Source
Starter $97 a month, or $970 a year 3 [1]
Unlimited $297 a month, or $2,970 a year Unlimited [1]
Founder $497 a month, or $4,970 a year Unlimited [1]

Which plan you try matters, because you get the tier’s features. If you want to test rebilling with markup or SaaS mode, you would need to start on the $497 plan, which the plan card calls Founder and the FAQ calls the Pro Plan [1][3]. See HighLevel pricing explained for the full ladder.

What can still cost money during the trial?

The pricing page disclaimer says “usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial” [1]. Texting, email, calls and some AI are billed from an agency wallet that charges the card on file when it runs low [3]. The rates are in HighLevel usage costs. If you plan to send real messages while testing, set a small recharge amount and watch the wallet.

Does the trial need a credit card?

Yes, according to HighLevel. Its real estate landing page, which shows the same 14-day trial and plan cards, says “Credit card required. You’ll be auto-charged at your selected plan rate when the trial ends unless you cancel. Cancel anytime in account settings.” Its FAQ adds that “a credit card is required, but you won’t be billed until the trial period ends” [4].

The main pricing page does not mention a card. It says billing “begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled” [1], and its sign-up form has a “Trial Details” step [1]. Read what that step asks for before you enter anything. Do not assume “no card required” because another site says so.

How do you cancel the trial?

The page says you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your dashboard, and that there are no long-term contracts [1]. HighLevel’s billing help article gives these steps for cancelling an agency subscription [2]:

  1. Go to Agency Settings, then Billing.
  2. Click “Want to modify/cancel your subscription?”
  3. Click Show More, then Cancel Plan.
  4. Choose a reason, then read the data-loss warning.
  5. Confirm, and submit the feedback form (the article says 30 words minimum).

The article is written for subscriptions in general, not trials, and does not describe a separate trial path [2]. Cancel before day 14 ends, and do it from the dashboard rather than waiting for an email. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation. If something goes wrong with a charge, the article routes refund and dispute requests to HighLevel’s billing team and says to include your agency name, login email and invoice details [2].

If you bought through another agency instead of directly from HighLevel, that agency has to make the change, since HighLevel cannot cancel an account managed by another agency [2].

What happens after the trial?

  • If you do nothing: billing begins automatically for the plan you chose [1].
  • If you cancel: agency accounts can’t be paused, only cancelled, and you can reactivate later with your data restored [2]. Cancelling shows a data-loss warning first [2].
  • If you want a different plan: you can upgrade or downgrade. Upgrades charge you immediately for the new plan, less a prorated credit [2].
  • Annual billing: the billing page lets you toggle between monthly and yearly when you upgrade. An existing yearly plan can’t be changed to monthly in the app; you contact HighLevel’s billing team [2].

How to use 14 days well

This is a checklist, not a result promise. Fourteen days is short.

  1. Decide before day one what you need to prove (for example: can I run my pipeline, forms and follow-up for one real client?).
  2. Pick the plan that includes the feature you are testing.
  3. Check wallet settings before you connect a number or send email. When you are ready, you can see the plans and trial on HighLevel’s pricing pageaffiliate (opens HighLevel in a new tab).
  4. Put the cancel deadline in your calendar on day 12.
  5. Note the support responses you get. HighLevel lists 24/7 support on Starter [1].

Who should not start a HighLevel trial

  • You haven’t named a use case. Two weeks go quickly.
  • You need a CRM with a few seats. See the alternatives.
  • You can’t commit time in the next 14 days. A trial you don’t use still converts to billing unless cancelled [1].

Pros and cons

For: a published 14-day trial on every plan [1]; full tier features [1]; cancel from the dashboard [1][2].

Against: a card is required and billing starts automatically [1][4]; usage fees can apply during the trial [1]; the main pricing page does not mention the card requirement; trial cancellation steps are not documented separately [2].
