What this means

  • You need 3 clients to cover fixed costs, software and acquisition; you have 12.
  • LTV to CAC is 42.9:1, in this calculator's highest band (above 5:1): there may be room to spend more on winning clients.
  • Software is 2.5 % of revenue at these inputs. If you resell software to clients, compare plan costs against what you charge.

Next: if you are weighing a software line on top of services, read what SaaS mode costs or how agencies use HighLevel.

If you resell software to clients, check current plan prices against what you charge.

How this is calculated
setup allocation = new clients per month × setup fee
revenue = active clients × average fee + setup allocation
variable fulfillment = active clients × fulfillment cost per client
servicing = active clients × hours per client × hourly cost
contribution         = revenue − fulfillment − software − servicing
acquisition = new clients per month × cost to acquire a client
operating profit = contribution − fixed overhead − acquisition
operating margin = operating profit ÷ revenue
unit contribution = average fee − fulfillment per client − hours per client × hourly cost
break-even clients = ⌈(fixed overhead + software + acquisition − setup allocation) ÷ unit contribution⌉
client lifetime = 1 ÷ monthly churn
clients implied = new clients per month ÷ monthly churn
lifetime value = unit contribution × client lifetime + setup fee
LTV to CAC = lifetime value ÷ cost to acquire a client

Questions

Are the default numbers benchmarks?

No. They are round placeholders so the calculator shows something on load. Replace every value marked “assumption” with your own figures.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. The maths runs in your browser. A shared link carries your inputs in the URL; nothing is stored on our side.

Why does churn change the client count?

If you sign the same number of clients each month and lose a fixed share, your client count drifts toward new clients per month divided by monthly churn. The calculator shows that figure for context.
